2024 | A Year In Review
For as long as I can remember, the number 24 has held a special significance in my life. And fittingly, 2024 has been a year of extraordinary moments and unforgettable experiences that I never dared to imagine.
In the early months, I had the immense honor of being recognized as one of the Top 100 Senior Photographers globally by Senior Style Guide. This recognition was a dream beyond my wildest expectations and a true testament to the trust my incredible clients place in me. In February, I photographed my first international wedding in breathtaking Cancun, Mexico. There's something uniquely magical about the intimacy of a destination wedding—the love, the laughter, the setting. My heart is already eager for the next.
Shortly after, one of my images found its way to the cover of Inspiring Teens Magazine. To see my work celebrated in such a meaningful way was surreal, and it reminded me just how much I owe to the amazing people I have the privilege of working with.
One incredible collaboration that took place this year has been with Dana Michele, a professional hair and makeup artist who has elevated my senior sessions to new heights. Dana’s ability to make my clients feel pampered and confident before their sessions is truly unmatched. While she primarily works with my senior clients, she’s also available to enhance the experience for other types of sessions. Her expertise adds a layer of glamour and comfort that helps every client shine in front of the camera, and I’m so grateful for her partnership.
But this year wasn’t just about photography milestones. My husband and I took a leap of faith and purchased two buildings in our charming town of Oconto. One will become my brand-new photography studio—a space designed to offer an even more exceptional experience for my clients. And the other? A labor of love called Room 902, an elevated event hall for gatherings that will bring people together in the most beautiful ways. After purchasing the new buildings, I moved out of my previous Main Street studio, leaving behind a space filled with memories. With renovations in full swing, our days are brimming with excitement, hard work, and anticipation for what’s to come.
In July, I had the joy of photographing my son’s lovely girlfriend’s senior portraits in San Diego, surrounded by stunning coastal views. It was a session filled with so much love and pride to have this sweet girl in our lives. Alongside that, I had the honor of capturing seven weddings and countless cherished moments—from senior portraits to maternity, newborn, engagement, and family sessions. Every shoot reminded me of how fortunate I am to document the moments that mean the most.
“Grateful” doesn’t even begin to cover it. My clients are the heartbeat of everything I do. The trust they place in me to be part of their milestones is humbling, and the connections and friendships I’ve built along the way are treasures I’ll always hold close. Thank you all for being part of this incredible chapter of my life.
